This year, we decided to test our skills at TMCSuperTech, North America’s premier skills competition for professional commercial vehicle technicians. This year’s competition took place in Raleigh, NC in conjunction with ATA’s Technology and Maintenance Council’s Annual Fall Meeting. The two-day event features some of the finest to ever swing a wrench.
Red Classic had four technicians compete. Al Whitley (Clayton), Hayden Lidke (Charlotte), Shane Craddock (Greensboro) and Caleb Todd (Bishopville) went toe-to-toe with the best in the nation over two grueling days of intense competition. All four made it deep into the competition, surpassing the qualifying round and making it to the finals.
At the conclusion of the competition, during the TMCSuper Tech Awards Banquet, Hayden Lake was called to the stage, winning one of the stations and receiving top honor for his technician skills.
“I’m super proud of how all of our technicians competed and was beyond excited when Red Classic’s very own Hayden Lake was announced a winner,” said Robbie Lear, senior manager of regional maintenance. “We had a great time and learned some new things. I am really looking forward to future opportunities for us to continue to shine and represent Red Classic.”
